"SECOND HOMES AND THE ECONOMIC BASE OF FOUR COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL COLORADO"

This report presents an economic analysis of Gunnison, Hinsdale, Ouray and San Miguel counties in west central Colorado, focusing on the economic effects of second home development.

The number of second homes is relatively large compared to total housing in the four-county area. The study estimated... 672 second homes in Ouray County, 27% of total housing units.
