Confirmation of Blasting Today at 4pm at 400 Queen Street

Ouray County has been inform that blasting by a private contractor will continue as scheduled today at 4pm (5/1/2024) at 400 Queen Street near Ouray. Blasting is also scheduled for tomorrow (5/2/2024) at 4pm. Please stay clear of the area around the times of scheduled blasting. The area includes Twin Peaks Trail, Pinecrest, Silver Shield, and the Perimeter Trail. Law enforcement will be present in the area at these times as well. If you have questions regarding the blasting you may call Scott Narreau, Explosives Program Manager, Division of Oil and Public Safety with the State of Colorado at 303-809-9354.

There will not be any blasting at 400 Queen Street today (4/30/2024) at 4pm. Blasting is still scheduled for Tomorrow (5/1/2024) and Thursday (5/2/2024). Please stay clear of the area around the times of scheduled blasting. This area includes Twin Peaks Trail, Pinecrest, Silver Shield, and the Perimeter Trail. Blasting at 400 Queen Street Delayed Until Next Week

Ouray County has received word from the Private Contractor that the Blasting at 400 Queen Street near Ouray will be delayed until next week and will not happen at 4pm tomorrow (4/25/2024). This is due to a systemic study being completed at the site. 

Blasting is still scheduled at 4pm on each day Monday through Thursday (4/29 - 5/2) next week. Please stay clear of the area around the times of scheduled blasting. The area includes Twin Peaks Trail, Pinecrest, Silver Shield, and the Perimeter Trail. Law enforcement will be present in the area at these times as well. If you have questions regarding the blasting you may call Scott Narreau, Explosives Program Manager, Division of Oil and Public Safety with the State of Colorado at 303-809-9354.
